Purpose
The ever-increasing screen-time is making us prone to Dry Eye and other vision threatening disorders. We believe, computer glasses alone are not enough to comfort and protect our sensitive eyes from today’s digital onslaught. Eylys intends to bridge this gap and usher in a new era of visual wellbeing in the digital age
Timeline
The last two decades have seen an explosion in the use of digital technology. It has accelerated human’s exposure to prolonged screen time, leading to steep rise in incidence and severity of Digital eye strain & Dry Eye.
However, scientifically designed, high-quality solutions remained unavailable. This burning need gave birth to Eylys, an outcome of nearly 3 years of relentless prototyping & rigorous testing.
2020
During Covid-19 pandemic, Education, shopping, working, meeting, entertaining and socializing suddenly leaped from offline to online. This further increased digital screen exposure, leading to Meibomian Gland Dysfunction & Dry eye. Unavailability of quality medical devices to treat the same, stimulated us to design and develop our indigenous solution.
2021
3000 trials done over 1 year on microwave-activated eye compress. Result, although superior than competing products, were not up to our expectations of what we wanted to offer. This led to scrapping of the idea, and restart fresh once again.
2022
Research and successful development of electric eye compress as per the highest scientific and standards.
2023
Manufacturing set-up as per ISO 13485 quality management system standards. Product launch at All-India Ophthalmic Conference, and received a phenomenal response from all attending leading eye doctors of the country

Dr. Hemal Kenia
Dr. Hemal is an ophthalmologist and a dry eye specialist, trained from India’s best eye hospitals – L.V.Prasad Eye Institute & Aravind Eye Hospital.
His passion & concern for Dry eye amongst digital screen users led him to start a campaign called “Eyepowerment” – A complete eye check up program(including dry eye test) & training of eye safety for computer users.
Despite receiving a phenomenal response, this service was non-scalable, due to lack of professional time.
But his undying commitment to serve this purpose gave birth to Eylys, to transform visual wellbeing in the digital age.
He is responsible for product innovation, research & development & marketing. He aspires to equip this brand with world class eye care solutions. Dr. Hemal is a perfectionist and a compassionate leader who strives to create a difference in this world.
He is an avid reader, a cricket enthusiast & a true coffee connoisseur.
His strong analytical skills, intricate planning & highly organized ethos helps him steer his team towards quality & precision. Paras is highly intellectual human who conquers the discussion that he is part of and wins everyone with his knowledge.
He is passionate for photography and enjoys capturing moments, nature & stills. He truly believes, “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”.
Payal holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration(MBA), with over 15 years of experience in Sales administration & customer relations and is heading the same at Eylys. She is a humanist with profound interpersonal skills and empathy, enabling her to meet customer expectations consistently.
Payal is a wordsmith by passion, and a keen seeker of eternal bliss through soul consciousness. Her idea of rejuvenation is simply brewing conversations with family and friends and creating little moments of joy.
